Privacy statement

Kolonos B.V. respects your privacy and handles any personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains what we do, and do not, collect. Last updated: June 2026.

What data we process

This website has no contact form, account system or newsletter. We only receive personal data if you choose to email us; in that case we process the name, email address and message you send, solely to reply to you.

Purpose and legal basis

We use the data you email us only to respond to your message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Recipients and processors

Fonts are served from our own server (no Google Fonts), so no visitor data is sent to font CDNs. This preview page loads a few illustrative photographs from Unsplash; when those images load, your browser contacts Unsplash, which may receive your IP address.

Retention

Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and no longer than 24 months unless a longer legal retention applies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Send a request to info@kolonos.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Analytics

We use self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) on our own server. It is cookieless and collects only aggregate data: pages visited, the referring website, browser and device type, and approximate country (derived from your IP address, which is not stored). No data is shared with third parties, there is no cross-site tracking, and no profiles are built. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the site is used. You can object to this processing.

Cookies

This website sets no tracking or analytics cookies.
